The two tiers
Your Pet, In the App
Your pet becomes a SkyCritter everyone can enjoy. You name it, you’re credited in the app, and it’s yours free forever.
One of a Kind
A custom critter made once, from your pet’s photos, for you alone. It will never be sold, shown, or unlockable for anyone else in the app.
What I need from you
- Photos. 1 to 3 clear, well-lit photos, ideally front-facing, showing your pet’s face and markings. More angles help for distinctive coats. You’ll attach these to the request email.
- A personality write-up, up to 500 words. Tell me who your pet is: temperament, quirks, how they’d react to a rainy day. This shapes your critter’s expressions and its little weather messages.
- Physical details. Note distinctive markings, colors, or features you want captured (for example “white left paw,” “black mask around the eyes”). A clear written description genuinely improves the result.
- Optional special requests. Want specific outfits or props in particular weather states (a raincoat in the rain, sunglasses in the heat)? List them by state — you don’t need to specify all 18.
Honest expectations
- Your critter is a stylized pixel-art interpretation in SkyCritter’s house style, made to match the app’s other animals. It captures your pet’s spirit and key features, not a photo-exact likeness.
- Some pets translate more cleanly than others. Bold, describable markings work beautifully. Very subtle fur textures, markings right around the eyes, strongly asymmetric patterns, or unusual body shapes are harder and may be simplified to fit the style.
- Delivery is through an upcoming app update, not instant. Turnaround is typically about 3 weeks once your slot begins, depending on the current queue.
Revisions
- Before I render the weather states, you get up to 5 rounds of revisions on your critter’s core design, free. This is where we get the base character right.
- Once you approve the core and I render the full state set, up to 3 small per-state tweaks are included (a prop, or a color nudge on a single state).
- Beyond that, additional per-state changes are $20 each, and a change to the core character after approval (which requires re-rendering the whole critter) is $100. I’ll always quote you before doing any paid rework.
Request your critter
No payment here — this opens a pre-filled email in your mail app (attach your photos there). I review every request and send a payment link within a few days.
